About

Rai-Con is an anime & manga convention taking place in Glasgow (Scotland) on the 28th of October 2017 and is being brought to you by our team here at Attic Events, in partnership with and a few exceptional friends and colleagues within the Glasgow anime and convention community.

With a dwindling number of purely anime and manga related events taking place within Scotland, we felt it was time to try and reinvigorate the Scottish anime scene and breathe new life into the community by bringing you a new and exciting convention, celebrating our passion for anime and manga, right in the heart of Glasgow!

Rai-con Spring (our first event) on 12th March 2016, was a one-day event with an attendance of over 1500 people. Since then, we have continued to run bi-annually; with events in March and October of each year and increasing attendance numbers each time (Rai-Con Spring 2017 welcomed over 2200 fans! 😀 ).

Rai-Con Winter 2017 will be be our fourth venture to date and will also be a one-day event based in the beautiful surroundings of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (at the junction of Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street). This one-day anime extravaganza will pack as much anime and manga related fun into one event as humanly possible; with a wide variety of events; including panels, tournaments, competitions, workshops, screenings and more! … and culminating in our awesome, ‘not-to-be-missed’ Rai-Con After Party.

Future Dates for your Diaries;

Rai-Con Winter 2017 – Glasgow – 28th October 2017
Rai-Con Spring 2018 – Glasgow – 3rd March 2018

    • Hiya, 1 adult per 4 children (under 16) is recommended in the building/vicinity. (Theres a cafe on site, and lots of places to sit, if the adult wants a place to hide for a while 😉
